Description
Extraordinarily Lustrous 1915-S Panama-Pacific Half, MS66
1915-S 50C Panama-Pacific MS66 PCGS. This stone-white silver commemorative has a precise strike and booming mint luster. Only a few faint grazes emerge when the piece is rotated beneath a light. The mintmark is lightly repunched north. The Panama-Pacific half is scarcer than its mintage suggests, probably because examples were sold for one dollar apiece to non-numismatic attendees at the 1915 exposition. As a result, many were carelessly handled and few survive in condition comparable to this one.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYHP, PCGS# 9357, GSID# 10354)
