Description
1921 50C Alabama 2x2 MS66 PCGS. A satiny gunmetal-blue premium Gem with glimpses of khaki-gold toning along the margins. Impressively undeterred by contact. Well struck on the eagle's plumage, as is customary for the 2x2 variety (estimated mintage 30,000 pieces). The figure 22 represents the order of admission of Alabama into the Union, with the digits separated by a St. Andrew's cross, symbolic of the state flag.
