Description
Pleasing MS65 Alabama 2x2 Half
1921 50C Alabama 2x2 MS66 PCGS. Although dated 1921, the Alabama half commemorated a centennial that occurred in 1919. Only 6,006 coins were struck with the special 2x2 notation in the right obverse field with another 64,000 coins struck with a "plain" field. This is an attractive, highly lustrous example that has golden-rose toning over each side, more evenly spread over the reverse and more concentrated around the margin on the obverse.
