1922 Grant With Star, MS64
Golden and Turquoise Toning

1922 50C Grant With Star MS64 PCGS. The Grant half and gold dollar commemoratives initially had no special emblem but to create a premium on the gold dollars the committee added a star to the obverse. However, the Mint also struck 5,000 of the half dollars with the star, ultimately distributing 4,256 of them. This silver commemorative piece displays remarkable mint silver luster with golden and turquoise toning. The coin is well-struck with the expected weakness shared by all issues and lacks any abrasions of note.(Registry values: N1793)
From The Sal J. Criscuolo Collection.
