Desirable 1922 Grant with Star Half Dollar, MS65
1922 50C Grant with Star MS65 NGC. The Grant Memorial commemorative with the star in the obverse field is one of the most elusive issues in the classic series with a distribution of just 4,256 pieces. That figure is many multiples lower than the 67,405 examples issued without the star. This vibrantly toned Gem has an arc of gold around the perimeter with charming accents of lilac on the reverse. Pleasing mint frost covers both sides. There are no mentionable marks on either side and the strike is razor-sharp. (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYPP, PCGS# 9307, GSID# 10313)
