1922 50C Grant With Star MS65 NGC. The Grant With Star half dollars, unlike the rest of the design-variant commemoratives designed to extract money from collectors, came about by accident; the Mint misinterpreted the issuers' request for two varieties of Grant gold dollar and created two varieties of Grant half dollar as well.
