Description
Satiny Gem 1922 Grant with Star Half
1922 50C Grant with Star MS65 PCGS. A satiny pearl-gray Gem with medium honey-gold and steel-blue toning. An unabraded and clearly original example of this low mintage issue. This dies clashed for this variety early in its life. The clash marks above GRANT were removed by a mint worker, at the cost of raised striations (as made) across the right obverse field. Vestiges of the clash marks persist left of the G in GRANT.From The Frank DuVall Collection of U.S. Commemoratives.(Registry values: N2998)
