Appealing 1923-S Monroe Half Dollar, MS66
1923-S 50C Monroe MS66 NGC. Shimmering satiny luster radiates from the light gray surfaces. Some of the details are a touch soft, but most of the design elements are boldly struck. Several wispy luster grazes do not distract. The Monroe half dollar is seldom seen above Premium Gem. NGC and PCGS combined have certified just 11 such examples (7/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYH4, PCGS# 9333, GSID# 10331)
