Description
1925 50C Stone Mountain Half Dollar, Uncertified. Golden-toned satiny luster adorns the sharp design elements of this piece, and a small rim nick above the R in TRUST is the only noteworthy impairment. Housed in the original Southern States Life Insurance Co. presentation box with a handwritten signature on the lid. The underside of the lid is printed with a description of the coin. Several different boxes, including variations of that presented here, were among the distribution mediums for the Stone Mountain half dollars.Ex: The Richard Jewell Collection (American Numismatic Rarities, 3/2005), lot 92.
