Counterstamped South Carolina 98
1925 50C Stone Mountain MS64 NGC. This commemorative piece
displays cool silver luster, counterstamped for South Carolina 98.
This well-struck coin displays minute abrasions, though they prove
inconsequential to the appeal. Some Stone Mountain halves were
counterstamped with Southern state abbreviations for fundraising
purposes. We have not sold a South Carolina counterstamped example
since 2024, making this an important opportunity for
