Superb Stone Mountain Half With Rich, Multicolored Toning
1925 50C Stone Mountain MS67 NGC. This is a pleasingly frosted example with pinpoint striking definition throughout. The color is truly spectacular with overlays of mottled antique-copper patina atop silver-gray toning on the obverse. The latter color also dominates on the reverse, but that side exhibits vivid lilac and emerald-green shadings at the upper border that add immeasurably to the already impressive eye appeal.
