Description

Lavishly Toned Gem 1926
Sesquicentennial Half Dollar

1926 50C Sesquicentennial MS65 NGC. Fully patinated in orange, lilac, and jade-green. An above average strike with only minor incompleteness on the cheek. A satiny and splendid Gem of this conditionally rare issue. Although sales of the Sesquicentennial half were considerable, most pieces are indifferently struck and lack eye appeal. The present piece provides an exception.(Registry values: N2998)
