Description
Splendid 1926 Sesquicentennial Half Dollar, Gem Mint State
1926 50C Sesquicentennial MS65 PCGS. The Sesquicentennial half dollars are notable as the first U.S. issue to feature a portrait of a living president: Calvin Coolidge. Deep charcoal and hazel toning surrounds the perimeter of this delightfully lustrous specimen. The details are a little soft, as typically seen for this issue, but the surfaces are nearly unabraded. PCGS has certified only eight pieces finer (7/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYJ4, PCGS# 9374, GSID# 10365)
