    Description

    1926-S Oregon Trail Half, MS68
    Colorful Iridescence

1926-S 50C Oregon MS68 PCGS. Pleasing iridescent colors decorate smooth, semireflective surfaces of this Superb Gem 1926-S Oregon Trail half. The first-year San Francisco issue was produced in large quantity -- more than 83,000 pieces were distributed from a mintage of 100,000 coins plus 55 assay pieces. This attractive, lightly toned MS68 example is sharply struck through the centers, weakening only briefly at the borders. Marks are almost entirely absent, while eye appeal is terrific. Population: 12 in 68 (1 in 68+), 0 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYH7, PCGS# 9341)
