Description
1928 Half Dollar, MS65
Colorful Hawaii Commemorative
1928 50C Hawaiian MS65 NGC. The 1928 half dollar was struck
to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Captain James Cook landing on
Hawaii. The frosty, silver surfaces of this well-struck Gem are
faintly toned in light jade. The periphery is accented with hues of
ocean-blue and lavender, with the reverse edges showing vibrant
rings of plum and emerald. Marks are light and consistent with Gem
pieces. This highly collectible commemorative becomes scarce in
Premium Gem, and finer examples are conditionally rare.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYGR, PCGS# 9309, Greysheet# 10314)
