Lustrous 1928 Hawaiian Half Dollar, MS66
1928 50C Hawaiian MS66 NGC. The 1928 Hawaiian half commemorated the 150th anniversary of Captain James Cook's landing in Hawaii. Specimens are available through the near-Gem level, but the certified population declines noticeably in Gem and quite precipitously any finer. This Premium Gem displays soft champagne-gold and ice-blue patina on lustrous surfaces that are well defined. Several marks are visible in the upper left obverse field.
