    1935/34-D Boone Half Dollar, MS68
    None Certified Finer at PCGS

1935/34-D 50C Boone MS68 PCGS Secure. Ex: Bruce Scher. The Daniel Boone commemorative half dollar was originally issued in 1934 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the famous scout's birth. The coins were issued again in 1935, with that date in the exergue and a small 1934 in the field to preserve the commemorative character of the issue. Only 2,003 examples of the 1935/34 issue were struck at the Denver Mint.
The present coin is an incredible MS68 specimen, with sharply detailed design elements and vibrant satiny mint luster. A few hints of champagne-gold and lavender patina grace the virtually pristine surfaces, adding to the tremendous eye appeal. Population: 7 in 68, 0 finer (12/12).(Registry values: N4719) (NGC ID# BYFU, PCGS# 9263)
