1935 50C Hudson MS67 PCGS. Satiny luster coats surfaces that are untoned centrally, but contain hints of russet and blue-gray at the peripheries. One year before the peak of the commemorative craze in 1936, obscure events were already being commemorated in a coin-issuing movement that was gathering steam. Hudson, NY, a town of just 14,000, had its sesquicentennial commemorated on the national stage. Few examples are finer than the present offering.
