Description
Important MS68 1935 Spanish Trail Half
1935 50C Spanish Trail MS68 NGC. This lower-mintage exploitative commemorative silver issue was sold largely to collectors and speculators, with few representatives going to the general public; as a result, many survivors are well-preserved, and coins through Gem and even Premium Gem are usually available for a price. In MS68, however, just seven pieces are known in the combined certified population, with none finer (6/08). This well-defined and nearly flawless representative displays strong, attractive luster beneath luminous peach and silver-blue shadings that deepen close to the margins. Arguably one of the most appealing representatives of the entire issue.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYJ5, PCGS# 9376, GSID# 10366)
