Description
1935-D 50C Arkansas MS67 PCGS. CAC. Rose and olive-gold colors embrace the borders, while the centers are bathed in silver-gray iridescence. A good strike for the type, since only the center of the eagle's breast exhibits less than complete definition. An exceptionally preserved and lustrous Superb Gem from the first year of the Arkansas type. Just 5,505 pieces were struck, with the additional five coins presumably reserved for assay. Population: 37 in 67, 0 finer (11/09).Ex: New York Signature (Heritage, 7/2004), lot 7462, which realized $2,472.50.(Registry values: N2998)
