1936 Half Dollar, MS68
Among the Finest Delaware
Commemoratives

1936 50C Delaware MS68 PCGS. Ex: Gregg Bingham. Recognizing the tercentenary of the landing by Swedes in Delaware in March of 1638, this commemorative half dollar displays the Old Swedes Church on the obverse and the ship Kalmar Nyckel on the reverse. Tab-toned from extended time in its originally-issued holder, this Superb Gem displays generally brilliant central surfaces that are lightly veiled in transparent champagne. The periphery features delightful and vibrant bands of amber, plum, and emerald on the obverse with only soft hues of gold on the reverse. PCGS has no numerically finer pieces, with just two reported at MS68+ (6/25).(Registry values: N2998)
