MS67 Long Island Commemorative
1936 50C Long Island MS67 NGC. A softly lustrous and well-preserved example of this classic commemorative, well struck with shimmering violet and blue patina over each side. Though Breen and Vermeule, among others, have harshly criticized the design, the piece was well-received by locals, and the mintage was a sellout.
