    Description

    1936 Texas Half Dollar, MS68
    Bold Peripheral Toning

1936 50C Texas MS68 PCGS. The 1936 Texas Independence Centennial half dollar is typically only available in MS66 or lower grades, although the occasional MS67 piece is offered. This MS68 coin ranks with just eight others as the finest at PCGS (5/15), and is an important condition rarity for the classic commemorative enthusiast. The strike is well-executed and the overall surface quality is excellent. Much of each side displays satiny champagne-gray toning, although the right-hand peripheries exhibit deeper amber, bronze, and olive-green.(Registry values: N2998)
