Unimprovable MS68 1936 York Commemorative
1936 50C York MS68 NGC. Based upon sheer eye appeal, this must be one of the finest York commemorative halves in existence. In terms of technical merit, the piece is also outstanding, and the design elements are struck with razor-sharp precision on both sides. The real story is the toning, which occurs as vivid rainbow iridescence near the periphery, and more subtle but beautiful variations of rose, sky-blue, and champagne-gray over the fields and centers.
