Description

Extraordinary 1936-D Cincinnati Half MS67

1936-D 50C Cincinnati MS67 NGC. Perhaps nothing of musical consequence occurred in Cincinnati in 1886, but that failed to prevent commemorative distributor Thomas Melish from making a windfall profit on the 1936 Cincinnati PDS sets. Only 5,000 sets were issued, and the issue was an immediate sell-out. This high grade example has vigorous luster and flawless surfaces. Lightly toned in aqua and sky-blue shades. Census: 31 in 67, 2 finer (8/09).(Registry values: N2998)
