    Description

1936-D 50C Rhode Island MS67 PCGS. Though the Rhode Island commemoratives celebrated the founding of Providence, the city's name appears nowhere on the final design. This Superb Gem exhibits this issue's distinctive satiny-frosty luster and has mint-green and gold patina at the rims of varying intensity, while the centers are silver-gray. Tied for the finest graded by PCGS (4/07).

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
