Description

1936-S 50C Bay Bridge Half Dollar, the 79th Piece Struck, Uncertified. The coin is satiny and light golden with russet accents. Housed in a custom Capital Plastics screw-type holder with signed letterhead from the San Francisco Mint Superintendent and Treasury Department denoting this as the 79th example of the commemorative struck at the San Francisco Mint, on November 4, 1936. The holder is inscribed: Official Presentation Piece - November 4,1936 / (Among the first 100 Struck, total mintage 71,424).
