Description
Impressive Superb Gem 1937-D Arkansas Half
1937-D 50C Arkansas MS67 PCGS. This is one of the scarcer issues in the early silver commemorative series, which is understandable considering its low mintage of 5,505 coins. This Superb Gem piece is sharply struck, and the design elements are noticeably better-defined than usual, on both sides. Mottled olive and orange-gold patina occurs near the obverse periphery, and to a lesser extent near the reverse margins. Impressively preserved and nearly pristine. Population: 13 in 67, 1 finer (8/08). (Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYFC, PCGS# 9242, GSID# 10231)
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
Weight: 12.50 grams
