Description

1938-D Texas Independence Half, MS68
CAC-Approved Top-Grade Example

1938-D 50C Texas MS68 PCGS. CAC. The importance of this magnificent Texas Centennial half to the classic commemorative Registry Set collector is unparalleled. This piece is one of only eight 1938-D examples in MS68 at PCGS, with none numerically finer (7/24). Any collector of the series, however, can appreciate the utterly smooth surfaces, the gleaming halo luster, and the delightful silver-blue and gold-orange patina gracing each side. The high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC. While a small number of sales of MS68 examples certified by other services have been recorded, this is a coin that scoffs at past price history. Only the most determined bidder will acquire this top-grade PCGS 1938-D, from a small distribution of just 3,775 pieces.
