Splendid 1947-S Booker T. Washington Half Dollar, MS67
1947-S 50C Booker T. Washington MS67 NGC. This mostly brilliant and fully struck Superb Gem exhibits powerful satiny luster on both sides. A few tiny maroon toning dots on the reverse accent the bright silver-gray surfaces. The fields are virtually pristine, and several microscopic abrasions on Washington's cheek and the memorial preclude an even higher grade. Neither NGC nor PCGS have certified any pieces finer (7/08).
