    Description

    1952 Washington-Carver Half, MS67
    None Numerically Finer

1952 50C Washington-Carver MS67 PCGS. The 1952 Washington-Carver half dollar issue had what was by far the largest net distribution of the series which ran from 1951 to 1954, at slightly more than 1 million coins. However, the very commonness of the issue worked against it -- a contrarian's dream -- and many examples ended up heavily bagmarked, and some even circulated along with some Booker T. Washington halves. This satiny Superb Gem boasts small iridescent freckles of color that give an overall pinkish-gray appearance more prevalent on the obverse, but both sides are splendidly preserved and well-struck. Population: 13 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (3/13).(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# BYL3, PCGS# 9434)
