1921 50C Alabama 2x2 MS67 PCGS Secure. The Alabama commemorative issue celebrated the 1919 centennial of Alabama statehood. Just over one-quarter of the net distribution for this issue had 2X2 incused in the right obverse field, identifying Alabama as the 22nd state. The obverse featured the busts of William Wyatt Bibb, the first governor of the state, and Thomas E. Kilby, the current governor at the time these coins were issued. This Superb Gem has spectacular, highly lustrous silver surfaces with mint brilliance beneath splendid rainbow toning. Population: 9 in 67 (2 in 67+), 0 finer (9/18).(Registry values: N7079)
