    Description

1936 50C Bridgeport MS67 NGC. Henry Kreis, who designed the Connecticut half, obtained the commission for the Bridgeport commemorative as well. The obverse of this exquisitely preserved coin has gold-orange patina around a brilliant center on the obverse, while the reverse has sky-blue and canary-yellow toning with specks of steel-gray on the eagle. NGC records reveal just two finer examples, graded MS67 ★ and MS68 ★ (3/07).
