Description

1893 Isabella Quarter, MS66
Radiant and Colorful Commemorative, CAC

1893 25C Isabella Quarter MS66 PCGS. CAC. The intricate jewelry worn by Queen Isabella of Castile and León (1451-1504) is sharply featured on this commemorative 1893 quarter. Queen Isabella is best-known as the sponsor of Christopher Columbus' 1492 voyage to the New World. This radiant Premium Gem exhibits brilliant fields on the obverse that cede to amber-gold and jade toward the edges. The reverse displays similar patina, adding violet and yellow-gold hues. Isabella's cheek shows a tiny tick. Otherwise, only trivial marks are noted. CAC endorsement confirms high quality for the assigned Premium Gem grade.(Registry values: N2998)
