Description
Lustrous, Upper-End MS 65 Panama-Pacific Half
1915-S Panama-Pacific MS 65 NGC. This coin was one of Mr. Joseph's favorites for several reasons. In addition to its remarkably well preserved surfaces, each side has a sharply defined band of multicolored iridescence around the peripheries. Such toning is often found on halves that were removed from sets originally housed in the copper Shreve & Co. frames of issue. The design elements are also fully defined and the coin overall has a vibrancy that is a perfect complement to the lovely rainbow coloration around the margins. From the Louis S. Joseph Collection.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYHP, PCGS# 9357, GSID# 10354)
