Description
Extraordinary 1937 Roanoke Half Dollar, MS 68 PCGS
1937 50C Roanoke MS 68 PCGS. This is one of the loveliest Roanoke commems that we have ever offered, and it is unsurpassed in terms of technical quality at either major grading service (11/00). From the standpoint of eye appeal, we also doubt whether one will find a more beautiful example in today's market. The otherwise silver-lilac surfaces yield to mottled swirls of orange-gold peripheral toning. The luster is thick and frosty in texture, and there are no noticeable blemishes over any of the crisply defined features. From the Tyler Dillon of Wellesley Collection.
