Description
Counterstamped 1925 50C Stone Mountain MS60 Environmental Damage Uncertified. 160 S.C. is counterstamped at an angle on the rocky ledge that the eagle is perched upon on the reverse. Attractive golden-rose and lilac toning covers both sides. Only seven pieces were listed on the 1987 roster from this Southern state. This is part of a marvelous collection of counterstamped Stone Mountain halves, see lots 8589-8601.
