Description
Extraordinary, Mostly Untoned 1935 Texas Half
1935 Texas MS 68 PCGS. Usually coins of extraordinarily high grade receive a point or two of that grade from exceptional toning. Here is a coin where that is not so. In the strictest sense of the word this coin is not brilliant. But one certainly would think so from the initial impression. There is, however, just the slightest hint of peripheral color on the lower reverse. The surfaces are free from any post-striking impairments and the striking details are intricately detailed. An exceptionally pleasing example of this popular commemorative. Population: 4 in 68, none are finer (9/95).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYJA, PCGS# 9382, GSID# 10369)
Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
