    Description

Central American Republic gold 2 Escudos 1850 CR-JB MS63 NGC, San Jose mint, KM15. Choice Mint State with highly lustrous surfaces and boldly detailed features. An unusually attractive type coin of this beautifully designed and popular issue, and among the last coins issued by the San Jose mint using the design of the Central American Republic since later issues of that same 1850 date are also known with the standing Indian liberty design. Conditionally very rare so finely presented, currently the single finest certified example at NGC and worthy of a significant bid as such.
