    Description

1795 O-102 Half Dollar, VF Details
Dual Countermarks 'B. Brown' and 'C.D. Parks'

1795 50C Flowing Hair Half Dollar, 2 Leaves, O-102, T-26, R.4 -- Private Countermarks -- NGC Details. VF. Tompkins Die State 1/1. Original medium-gray fields surround light-gray devices on this attractively counterstamped Flowing Hair half dollar. The dual counterstamps of "B. BROWN." and "C.D. PARKS." are not necessarily related one to the other in business or other purpose, and neither mark is listed in the Brunk or Rulau references. Still, these are well-made marks on an attractive, early type coin and sure to be in demand among counterstamp specialists.
