Description

Bitcoin Magazine "Satoshi Cover" Issue #1 May 2012 CGC NM 9.4 White Pages, Published in May 2012, the inaugural issue of Bitcoin Magazine stands among the earliest printed documents devoted to Bitcoin. At a time when discussion of decentralized money was largely confined to online forums and developer channels, this first issue gave the emerging movement a tangible form and a unified voice. Its pages-shaped by early contributors including Vitalik Buterin-reflect Bitcoin in its formative years, as its principles and ambitions were still taking shape. The now-familiar Satoshi portrait on the cover became one of the earliest widely recognized visual symbols of the project. Printed in South Korea in a limited run of approximately 2,000 copies, most examples were circulated or discarded, with comparatively few surviving in presentable condition. As a physical artifact from Bitcoin's earliest period, Issue #1 holds an important place within collections of cryptocurrency history and technological ephemera.
