Description
Republic Cuban Red Cross Medal, Merit Medal of the Order in gilt silver and enamel, 30 mm with ribbon ring, issued circa 1920-1930. Obverse: a field medical station with a nurse and attendant giving aid. Made by the primary maker of Cuban orders and medals, Vilardebo & Riera (stamped on the otherwise blank reverse.) Nice VF-XF, no ribbon, believed to be very rare with only 2-3 examples noted in over 20 years by the consignor and the first with intact enameling.Auction Info
