Republic gold 10 Pesos 1916, KM20, Fr-3, PR62 Cameo NGC. Close to choice Proof, with a few light contact marks apparent. Reported mintage of less than 10 pieces and rarer than the 1915 date. A great rarity, with only the Pittman, Eliasberg and Caballero de las Yndias specimens being offered in the past 20 years. This is the Eliasberg specimen. A type missing altogether in the Norweb collection, and among the rarest issues of the Americas during the 20th century. Ex. Eliasberg collection (ANR, 4/2005 for $29,900).
