Description
Republic Souvenir Peso 1897 Widely Spaced Date, KMX-unlisted, AU50 NGC, nicely struck details, some light surface patination. Very rare type with the widely spaced date but without PAT 97 on the truncation of the bust. The portrait of Libertad appears to be similar in style and depth to the second series KMX-M2 and M3. Specialists in this series have reported that 30 pieces were struck, but that all but 2-3 were melted.Auction Info
