Description
Series 1869 "Rainbow" $10
1869 $10 Legal Tender Note, Fr-96, CU Vertical Stains. Star note. An attractive rainbow colored note, one in the famous "Jackass" series (Fr-96 through 113), so called because the eagle looks like the head of a jackass when turned upside down. This example is well centered, but displays a slight overall yellowing and a strange rippling from years of storage in a frame.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 10096, GSID# 11710)
