Description
Fr-196, $5 Interest Bearing Note, Series 1863 VG-Fine. Well centered with particularly bright color and normal creases for the condition. There is a bit of speckled discoloration along the left side of the obverse and corresponding reverse area. Overall, a presentable example of this rare note, surviving only as the result of oversight or ignorance as the interest became payable during this turbulent era in our nation's history.
