Massachusetts Rising Sun Notes. All are from the October 16, 1778 series. One note is valued at four-shillings eight pence, XF, serial 2858, signed J. Brown, trace of a center fold; the second is a five-shillings note, Fine, serial 3973, signed Tho. Dawes, with one minor stain; and the last is a five-shillings sixpence, XF, trace of a center fold, minor age spots.
