Description
Series 651 Military Payment Certificates. Schwan-895, 896 and 897. All notes grade Gem CU. Issued in April, 1969, this series was used in several different countries before being retired in November of 1973. Similar in appearance to the 641 series with a change in color and the addition of the vignette of the Minuteman on the left side of the notes. The fractional denominations of this issue are all extremely rare and at one time it was even thought that they had never been issued. At any rate, few survived and they are now the most sought after specimens of MPC.
