Exceptional Gem Kremnica Mines Commemorative

Republic gold "Kremnica Mines" 10 Dukaten 1934 MS66 NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM-XM21, Fr-13. A crowd favorite Czechoslovakian commemorative heralding the reopening of the Kremnica mines. The skillful Art Deco treatment of this subject by local engraver Anton Ham can be enjoyed on the reverse, while the obverse depiction of kneeling St. Katherine of Alexandria and her principal symbol, the spiked wheel, one can deduce, speaks to the payoff of perseverance associated with the industry. This is one of the finest examples we have handled to date, a mere 3 representatives ranking higher at NGC. Glowing luster amplifies the impact of Ham's medallic design, which leaves essentially no room for criticism or improvement. A lack of tone allows the devices to speak for themselves, truly a cabinet piece.
