Free City gold Proof 25 Gulden 1923 PR68 Cameo NGC, Berlin
mint, KM148, Fr-43, Kop-7846. Mintage: 200. It is important not to
confuse this 1923 Danzig 25 Gulden with the 1930 issue that is very
similar in appearance; as we have seen an explosion of 1930 pieces
on the market in recent months, but the 1923s, especially in Proof,
are still very much in high demand. But this is not your average
specimen; as it is arguably the single finest certified example in
existence. The only other Proof 68 has no Cameo designation, and of
the Ultra Cameo specimens, none have a numerical assignment above
66. A masterclass example of an already famously beautiful Art Deco
